Episcopal church in the Champaign-Urbana area of Illinois

The Chapel of Saint John the Divine is a parish of the Episcopal Church, ministering to the community of Champaign-Urbana and the Episcopal campus ministry to the University of Illinois. As a constituent part of the Anglican Communion, we are also church home for international students and scholars.

We are a welcoming, lively, and diverse congregation offering mindful ways to worship, learn and serve. We invite you to join us as we seek to worship and follow Christ. ALL are ALWAYS INVITED and WELCOMED!

The Canterbury Choir will be presenting its annual FESTIVAL OF ADVENT LESSONS & CAROLS on Sunday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. This year's composers will include Palestrina, Ord, Owens, Saylor, Nixon, Langlais and Whitbourn. Following the service, there will be a reception in the lounge of Canterbury House. Please sign up to bring a treat or drink to share here.

We will be having a St. Nicholas celebration on Wednesday, December 7 beginning with the service at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner and a special visit by Saint Nicholas himself. Each child will need to bring a shoe (one of their own, not an adult-size shoe) and families are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys to be given to Toys for Tots.
