Timothy Spelbring is a doctoral student at the University of Illinois, where he studies organ performance with Dana Robinson. He is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music at the Yale School of Music where he studied with David Boe and Martin Jean respectively. Further studies were at the Eastman School of Music with David Higgs. Spelbring has received numerous awards including the Paul Manz Scholarship, the Selby Houston Prize (awarded at Oberlin), and the E. Stanley Seder Prize (awarded at Yale). In 2001, he served as concert scholar for the Westfield Center for Early Keyboard studies and performed recitals nationally on their behalf. He currently serves as organist at First Presbyterian Church in Danville, Illinois.
A freewill offering will be collected at all of the recitals to be divided among the recitalists at the conclusion of the concert series.
